I actually used to have the Pikachu N64. But I sold it in a yard sale years ago. Lol Darn. If I knew how rare it was, I'd have kept it or something.

Had a Crystal Xbox that sold for just over $400 awhile back. Apparently they were a Canadian/UK exclusive and are pretty hard to find in the US.

I'm still stunned about the Pikachu N64 being so expensive now. When I worked at Toys R Us we couldn't even give them away. They were like $30 or $50 during the 2001 holiday season and yeah, we had a hard time selling them. I should have picked one up.

where did you research these? that's so awesome. I saw a Ni No Kuni PS3 slim on ebay today never used, going for about $400-$450 I thought that was rare. Final Fantasy PS3 1st Gen was there too, about $800 or more. Not so rare was Metal Gear 4 PS3 1st gen bundle, might have been used. I find this collector edition console stuff fascinating

I'm a pretty big collector an have alot of these systems.. And I'm an avid eBayer so when I saw this article I had to chime in.. There's alot of collectors systems out there an a bunch are worth alot more than the ones mentioned in this article..

Hi, since you seem to be in the know (and I'm curious) Say I had a limited edition see-through green and gold gameboy colour, sold for the 2000 Olympics in Australia, with the flag and the ozzie ozzie ozzie n all (like this one Used but well cared for. Possibly even with the original box. What would I be looking at for it?
  • dqualls187 - June 4, 2014 7:12 a.m.

That's a good question. I haven't heard of that edition personally. I did a quick search an couldn't find much info on it, also didnt see it on eBay. I would check around your self a little more an if your looking to sell it, definitely see if u have the original box cause that will add value, and then maybe post on eBay or somewhere. Nintendo Age may be a good place to ask around about it also. Sounds like you have a pretty rare item an if there aren't many more others out there you could pretty much ask what u want for it. Just a matter of finding the right buyer. Or you could always just open up an auction an see how high the bidding goes! Good Luck!!

I think there are more rare than the Pikachu one, I got 2 both in the box but one of them is orange. These consoles dont look that interesting there was a pink Hello kitty dreamcast that came with a keyboard and some other accesories I think. Id rather have that than most of these. the celebrity ones look stupid.

I really like that purple and Xbox 360 S. But like the article stated, it has that darn Taco Bell logo on it. That 360 would have been perfect as a Saints Row special edition console.
  • Rub3z - July 8, 2013 3:46 a.m.

I would pay all of the money for a games machine that periodically would shout "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?!?!?" at me, with Russell Crowe's face on it. Although in the case of one of those celebrity-emblazoned 360s, I just have to wonder... what happens if that thing gets the RRoD? D:

Have the Gold N64 and it works.

I'm really surprised to not see the super-rare Panzer Dragoon Orta Xbox:
  • wingsdjy - July 9, 2013 12:11 p.m.

I was thinking the same thing. Too bad it was never released in the US.
  • Fuzunga - July 6, 2013 5:59 p.m.

How about the Queen of England's golden Wii or the Mother 3 Gameboy Micro? That one goes for at least $500. Any special edition Micro goes for a lot, really. The Famicom is the cheapest. I was lucky to get one a few years ago for $99 brand new from Japan. Can't get a price like that any more, though.

I have a friend who used to have one of those glossy white PS2s; I doubt he knows the value of it though, or if he even still has it.
  • FemmeFox - July 6, 2013 1:20 p.m.

Yay! I have one of these! I've got the Hatsune Miku PS Vita! Scowered the net for that and managed to get it earlier this year. Unused and in the original box with all items and the game itself unopened and surprisingly the 3G version too despite the listing saying otherwise, for just £450 including shipping. Sounds like a lot but I was WELL prepared to pay much more, as many have had to do so. And I love it! Shame the 3G is locked though.

My neighbor actually owns the pikachu N64. He never knew the rarity until I googled it not too long ago. :P

The DK SP and The Miku Vita are amazing! :) I think a friend of mine owned one of those Skeleton Gameboy things................
