nVidia unveils cheaper DX10 cards

nVidia has unveiled its lower-end range in its '8' series graphics cards, which introduce a less expensive way to hook into DirectX 10.

Joining the top-end GeForce 8800 GTX and GeForce 8800 GTS are three newentries - the GeForce 8600 GTS, GeForce 8600 GT and GeForce 8500 GT.

nVidia's GeForce 8600 GTS is currently available for around $220, the 8600 GT and 8500 GT due to release around the start of May. Prices of the latter two remain unconfirmed, but expect them to tip just over $200.
