GR+ Live: The Metronomicon mixes Final Fantasy and sweet, sweet dance pop

The Metronomicon game is the game of a very specific person's dreams. The person who dreams of a game mixing Final Fantasy, murderous shark people, and the luscious dance pop of bands like Yacht; Metronomicon, out on Steam and PlayStation 4 this year, is the game for them. The art of blending role-playing and sweet beats is a delicate one. That's why we had creator Daniel Garfield come on our show to talk about how it's done.

I've been playing games since I turned four in 1986, been writing about them since 1987, and writing about them professionally since 2008. My wife and I live in New York City. Chrono Trigger is my favorite game ever made, Hum's Downward is Heavenward is my favorite album, and I regularly find myself singing "You Won't See Me" by The Beatles in awkward situations.
