It's still four months from Talk Like a Pirate Day, in which people who never got over the mid-2000s pirate craze and the party-poopers who despise them spill out of the internet and into the real world. With so long a stretch free of timbers to be shivered, is it any wonder that Microsoft's Major Nelson feels the need to offer a few pirate-centric deals to users of (sorry, this is mandatory) Xbox Live Arrrrr-cade?
For the next week %26ndash; that is, until May 23 %26ndash; Xbox Live Gold users can get peg-leg-centric games Age of Booty, Deadliest Warrior and The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition for 50% off, as well as Monkey Island and Deadliest Warrior pirate-themed avatar items. Between this and the impending new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, pirate enthusiasts ought to be talking, walking and generally living like pirates (minus the scurvy and limb loss) well into September. Dammit, Major Nelson.
