Lost Planet 3 pushed back to August

Lost Planet 3 has been delayed from late June to late August. The chilly prequel to the bug-blasting series will now arrive on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on August 27 in the U.S. and August 30 in Europe.

Capcom told CVG that unspecified "business reasons" led to the two-month delay. The June release dates were revealed just last month.

E.D.N. III is coming out of a harsh ice age in the time of protagonist Jim, a rig suit pilot trying to support his family back home by hauling minerals.

Turns out the insectoid akrid weren't great fans of humans tearing up their planet even back then, though, and Jim has to fight for his life against the horde in rig and on foot. Series fans should expect the game to handle a bit differently, since development duties were handed over to Western studio Spark Unlimited.
