Little King's Story getting a revision for PlayStation Vita

Konami is prepping the 2009 Wii game Little King's Story for a second chapter on the PlayStation Vita. As confirmed in the latest issue of the Japanese game mag Famitsu, the cutesy kingdom building RPG will return with a fresh new look and a wordy (translated) title; The King, The Demon King and the Seven Princesses: New King Story.

Originally developed by the (now closed) indie studio Cing, and published by Marvelous Entertainment, the first Little King's Story was the tale of young King Corobo and his quest to rally the supplies, abilities and manpower required to build and maintain the kingdom of Alpoko. In addition to the game's sim elements, Little King's Story involved adventuring outside of Alpoko and conquering its surrounding kingdoms. Little is known of Konami's plans for the sequel, only that it will involve a love story between King Corobo and Princess Apricot, and utilize the PS Vita's touch features. Konami is also abandoning the cutesy visuals from the first game for a more realistic style, as indicated in this first batch of screenshots:

The King, The Demon King and the Seven Princesses: New King Story has no release date, but is scheduled to make an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
