Limited edition Star Wars Xbox 360 console bundle unveiled at Comic-Con

It’s all about the merchandising! LucasArts recently unveiled a custom Star Wars-themed Xbox 360 and Kinect console combo. Presented at a panel presentation at this year’s Comic-Con, the custom Xbox 360’s design is inspired by brave little droid R2-D2 and will play custom sounds. The package also includes goldenrod-friendly C-3PO designs for the controllers (check out the wires at the controller’s base!).

Priced at $449.99, the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Kinect Star Wars Bundle includes a 320GB hard drive and is available to pre-order at select retailers (we found listings at

As avid Star Wars fans, the only item we’re not crazy about in the bundle is the included copy of Star Wars Kinect. You can read more in our hands-on impressions of the flail-friendly motion-control game here.

If the kinect sensor was made to look like Vader's lightsaber hilt I'd be on board 100%. Thankfully, it is not. The last thing I need is a second xbox.

Nyeh. I would want it if it wasn't so far into it's lifecycle- that and the Vita's coming out this year as well.

i'd only buy it if the kinect camera made the projection sound that R2 does. £350 in the UK is too much tho.
  • FAT47ITY - July 22, 2011 6:56 p.m.

the console and controller look amazing, but I'll probably just throw out the Kinect
  • fatguy19 - July 22, 2011 4:46 p.m.

If they must release crap like this why cant they at least base it on decent charactors? A Darth Vader Xbox would be cool, instead they decided to base on on an ifeminate droid and a beeping trash can with a midget inside.
  • cj12297 - July 22, 2011 2:20 p.m.

If I could get it without kinect.
  • Azralph13 - July 22, 2011 9 a.m.

This does look cool...but remember guys...its not for you...its for the kids!!
  • Tronto13 - July 22, 2011 8:26 a.m.

This is the best looking console ever!!! BigKingBud you are so close minded,
  • Redeater - July 22, 2011 4:52 a.m.

320 GB HD???? Sweet Jesus that seems like way too much. I have the newer slim model with almost all of my games installed on it, lots of DLC and even more videos and yet I haven't even come close to filling it up.
  • ObliqueZombie - July 22, 2011 4:33 a.m.

    I. Am. PISSED. Yet ANOTHER piece of merchandise, let alone STAR WARS, that I'd kill for! Since I'm off to college in less than a month, and with all the games coming out that I'm already trying to pay off, there's no way in HELL I can afford this! I guess I'll just sit here and seethe and grope and moan and bitch and be frustrated and regret life... D:<
  • ChiefLethal - July 22, 2011 4:11 a.m.

Sooooo this is apparently the kinect's killer app?
  • PimplesInYourAsstista - July 22, 2011 3:45 a.m.

I don't mind Star Wars, but damn, this is a gaudy-looking piece of shit. AND comes with two pieces of crap too! Lovely job, Microsoft.
  • MySistersMenstruationTastesFunny - July 22, 2011 2:36 a.m.

@BigKingBud You've stated multiple times that Kinect, and motion controls in general, are the future. You should be embracing this, you fucking tool.
  • Zepaw - July 22, 2011 2:23 a.m.

Never gotten into Star Wars but it is a sweet looking bundle. With a GOW3 and now Star Wars Xbox coming my hope for a MW3 is dwindling. I loved my MW2 set.
  • darkraichu34 - July 22, 2011 1:57 a.m.

If i can get it without kinect, I will own it.
  • Darth_Griffin - July 22, 2011 1:52 a.m.

can I buy this without Kinect Star Wars and the Kinect sensor? I don't need lame add ons to detract from this awesome machine
  • Doctalen - July 22, 2011 1:41 a.m.

The force is strong with this one. Could we buy the limited edition xbox without that kinect? Its close to $150 over priced with it included.
  • samsneeze - July 22, 2011 1:33 a.m.

I'd buy it, but they can keep the game.
  • Helios - July 22, 2011 1:23 a.m.

If I had the money, I would totally buy this. But I don't, so I won't. It's awesome, anyway.
  • Sk8rFit4Battle - July 22, 2011 1:07 a.m.
