Leaked trailer spills the beans on Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition DLC

Shares

A leaked trailer posted on Console Tech confirms that content from the currently Japan-only Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will be released as DLC for Super Street Fighter IV on the PS3 and 360. The new content includes four new characters: Evil Ryu, Oni, Yun, and Yang.

Console players will also receive an upgrade to the game’s replay capabilities. Players will be able to send replays to each other, and a newly upgraded search function allows fans to search and watch replays from other players, including a new option that limits results to top players with 3,000 or more PP.

Meanwhile, it appears that Capcom is trying to take down as many copies of the trailer as it can during the run-up to the DLC’s official announcement.

Please give Nintendo 3DS owners the DLC Arcade Edition as well. Thank you.

How likely is it that this will come to the 3DS version once the e-shop arrives?

    ZOMBIES!

I will take pretty much anything SSFIV-related, especially if the balance changes are going to be implemented anyway. And I don't mind having another two Shotos, they may have similar moves but they do all play differently, Ryu plays nothing like Dan. Or Akuma. Or Gouken. Or Sagat. And even with Ken there's a few key differences, there's a reason they aren't all next to each other in the tier lists.

the trailer said you can play with someone with a "regular" SSF4, I'm guessing arcade edition, gameplay-wise is a free patch, with the extra characters sold separately (probably $5 each) if that's true, it'd be great because I have absolute minimal interest on another two shotos (really capcom?) and two TWINS (that is just lazy)

Ill probably be dropping Ryu for E.Ryu cuz that c.mk nerf does not look fun.I hope they do some more balance changes keep hearing the twins are god tier.

Its going to be at least 15 bucks, which is too steep for two characters nobody is interested in, and 2 more Ryu clones. Really, that makes Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Dan etc. I really like Capcom and their series, but they should stop with the expensive DLC.

@suicidali I was wondering the same thing. With those two spots left there is still a little hope that the character I have wanted the most to be in this game, R. Mika, will make it as dlc.

I'm just hoping for a couple of console-exclusive characters, like they with with the original SF4. They're not gonna just leave those 2 blank slots on the character select screen there are they?... Are they?...

@corndog501: If that's their limit, then explain Dragon Age: Awakening.

    Not a bad trailer...

They can't charge more than $15 on the Xbox Live Marketplace, that is Microsoft's price limit on Arcade titles and DLC. If its gonna be $15 on XBLA, then it'll be $15 on PSN. But I'm hoping that they'll bump it down to $10.

It appears Capcom if fully capable of doing DLC correctly. Nice to see it here. Maybe they'll do better with MvC3 in the future.
  • a1thegift - April 8, 2011 8:14 p.m.

I'd pay less than 30 for it... but i hopes its around 15...

I think I might change my main to either Yun or Yang when this dlc comes out.
