Halo 3 Beta Video Strategy Guide

Check out the video for a quick runthrough on the basics: opening the gate and hatch, grav-lifting into the base, and the proper use of the Bubble Shield. Important weapons here are the rocket launcher and Brute Shot but the map holds a fewassault rifles, a shotgun, a Needler, and even a Spartan Laser hiding up in the lookout post and a Rocket Launcher down at the beach camp.Sitting in theturret on the bridgemakes you an easy target, sorip that thingoff its tripod by pressing B. The turret gun packs a mean punch, but slows down your movement considerably.

Once inside the base it's all about close-range combat, and the assault rifle will do you proud if you back it up with plenty of random grenade flinging. This is also where dual-wielding some Brute Spikers makes you one tough mother to beat. Don't be ashamed to sneak in through the pipe on the crumbled right side of the wall.

This map provides virtually limitless strategic possibilities for team-based games. If you're trying to keep your opponent out of the base, you'll have to constantly adapt to the avenue of attack. Put a man on the tower, one on the crumbled wall, and one in the building/bunker complex. The fourth man should move to where the attackers are coming heaviest. Territories are brutal, and many don't offer much cover so be ready for a straight-up bloodbath.

Remember the Plasma Pistol that no one really used much? Well it's an awesome weapon for taking out a player's shield but it's been upgraded for Halo 3. Fire a full charge at a moving vehicle and it'll knock out allpowerfor six seconds, stopping it dead. This gives you plenty of time to board the vehicle or just blow it up. You'll also find the new, powered up Needler on this map. It can no longer be dual-wielded, but one is potent enough and you'll appreciate having a grenade hand free.
