Halo 3 Beta Video Strategy Guide

A large open map that features two structures connected by a network of tunnels. To have a chance on this map you'll need to be able to use mid-range weapons like the Battle Rifle, Carbine and Spartan Laser like a Jedi uses the Force. Don't go wandering around in the open.Zooming around in the Ghost will only make you an easy target for the Spartan Laser.

The doorways on both bases work like the Bubble Shield - you can't shoot through them. This causes the bodies to pile up fast in close-up, in-your-face combat in each base's main chamber. Try jumping up into the rafters to get a bit of an advantage. Base One contains a Covenant Sniper and a Bubble Shield, while Base Two holds a Spartan Laser and a Power Drainer. The Power Drainer is great for blocking off tunnels, but is pretty useless in the outdoors. Drop it and step back quickly, or you'll be caught in its damage radius. The Covenant Sniper / Bubble Shield combo should be taken immediately to the top of the base and exploited shamelessly. It will allow you to snipe away while ducking in and out of the safety of your shield. If you have someone to watch your back, all the better.

An Invisibility pick-up hides in a small underground passage not connected to the tunnel network. You'll also find the Brute Shot sitting on top of the large gray tunnel entrance. The shotgun isdirectly under the BruteShot in the tunnel, and is invaluable in Snowbound's claustrophobic interiors. See the video for the shortest possible path from the Invisibility to the Brute Shot to the Shotgun. Armed thusly, you will have an easy time surviving in the underground. Don't miss out on the Spike Grenades either. Nothing says, "You're a pansy for hiding in the Bubble Shield," like one of these to the face.

If you're playing a Team Slayer game against a superior team of sniping demons, round up your team inside the structures or underground caves tooled up with shotguns, dual Brute Spikers (found in one of the two structures) and a lot of grenades. You'll stand a better chance in a close-quarters battle.
