The Power Drain is a useful ally in the tunnels beneath Snowbound. It's located in the main chamber of the tundra-side base, along with the Spartan Laser. The best possible scenario is if you have several opponents holed up together - toss the Power Drain in and step back behind the protective doorway.
Another excellent strategic use of the Power Drain is to block escape routes. If you see a teammate chasing a VIP into a tunnel, for example, you can block the other end of the tunnel with a Power Drain and force the VIP to stand and fight (and die!!!). Out in the open, Power Drains are not very effective, but they can be brutal in close quarters when movement is limited.
