Microsoft has announced that Halo 2, the hugely successful shoot-'em-up sequel, is on its way to PC, but will only be playable on the Windows Vista operating system.
Currently being developed by a Microsoft Game Studios team in conjunction with Halo creators Bungie, the PC version will include all the single and multiplayer action of the Xbox original as well as the extra content available in the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack.
While all this is very exciting, the real news is Microsoft's curious and possibly anger-provoking decision to make the game exclusive to Windows Vista, which means any PC owner that wants to play the excellent Halo 2 would have to switch to the new operating system.
Halo 2 will be released for Windows Vistas on the PC but no release date has been confirmed.
