Dirty Bomb: New PC exclusive multiplayer shooter from Splash Damage – see the teaser trailer

UK developer Splash Damage has revealed a teaser trailer for its latest project, Dirty Bomb, a multiplayer shooter for PC. Have a watch:

Splash Damage, whose previous games include Brink and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, haven’t revealed any other Dirty Bomb info, but on the evidence of this trailer it’s clear at least some of the game will be located in modern day/near future London, will include both male and female character models, and will feature bombs (almost certainly dirty ones, which also implies the set up will be security forces versus terrorists).

We’ll bring you more news on Dirty Bomb as soon as it’s made available.

It looks like they're trying to disassociate from their failure in Brink, but try to reanimate some of the concepts they used in it. I could tell just simply from some of the design aesthetics... it smacks of Brink. But I don't think it's a bad thing. Brink was a great concept, they just fell short on execution. It really deserves a second chance.

Is there really a need for another Multiplayer PC-exclusive shooter. There are so many already, and many that are F2P at that.

Oh hey, a near-future post-apocalyptic dilapidated urban shooter. Isn't that a much needed breath of fresh air.
