Dead Space 3 release date set for next February, first details

EA started its E3 2012 press conference with a bang by finally revealing Dead Space 3 to the world. Starting with a scene between protagonist Isaac Clarke and Ellie, his female companion from the second game, are approaching a planet that’s home to the Marker, though the landing doesn’t go so well. On a frozen world filled with necromorphs and human enemies Isaac is battling alone and with his new co-op buddy Jason Carver. After some impressive shooting, the demo ended with Isaac battling a colossal monster, and though it seemed to end with his death after being eaten by it, the gameplay kept going, with Isaac fighting for his life in the bowels of the beast.

Despite being just announced, EA confirmed that Dead Space 3 will be out for 360, PS3, PC, February 2013. We’ll have a fuller preview of the game real soon.

I'm sorry what? It's got some cover based shooting yes but it's still Dead Space. Also we've barely seen ANY of the game play. It could just be that one segment that's like that, who knows. I'm still excited but waiting to reserve full judgement when the game actually releases.
