    My favorite weapon that I've tried to far based on killing zombies (not on reliability)is the Polearm Weapon. Broom + machete = sweeping weapon great when you're surrounded. Maybe I've just been lucky with it, but the secondary attack with it (the spin attack thing) is great when you're nearly surrounded/facing a large crowd.
