DC Universe Online: How to make physics fight for you

We’ve been playing the heck out of the closed beta for DC Universe Online – and we’re pretty impressed with it so far. Soaring over the skyline of Metropolis and blazing through the streets of Gotham is great. But the combat also feels surprisingly kinetic. Part of why action in DCUO feels different has to do with the game’s physics engine. It doesn’t just affect the combos and combat; it also helps the game’s world feel more immersive with lots of ways to interact with the game’s environments. There are always objects to use, smash, or throw as you quest with your custom hero or villain. Check out the following developer diary featuring director Chris Cao for a closer look at how physics and fighting work together in DC Universe Online.

Expect more updates on the DC Universe Online beta as we continue power leveling our custom hero.

Impressive, but I can just see now on day 1 of launch, all the youtube videos documenting instances like the ridiculous cross-map COD:Mod throwing knife kills, where batman will just be minding his own business and out of nowhere gets mauled by a flaming truck launched from a mile away.

Why are Nightwing and Tim Drake's Robin still in the game?

all it needs is a crossover with 2000AD so Judge Dredd can come in from an alternate universe like in the comics, and i just noticed its ps3 only, FUCK!
