Darkspore – first gameplay trailer

We recently got a chance to preview an early build of the upcoming action/RPG, Darkspore. It features an in-depth character customization system that draws from Will Wright’s Spore. But the game plays more like a traditional Diablo-esque dungeon crawler with an interesting twist that finds you upgrading and customizing your ever growing squad of heroes in your never ending quest for better loot.

But enough about what we think. EA has just released a teaser with lots of gameplay footage, so you can see what it looks like for yourself and tell us what you think of Darkspore so far.

    Looks like a cute way for EA to make more money. Use an already drained game, change it slightly to suit a different demographic entirely and milk the cash cow some more.

    It is meh. I couldn't really tell the difference between the 3 selected hero creatures. Looks like dumbed down Diablo. No characters I would really care about.

    what the hells wrong with you spam-freaks. anyway i don't like the view, it makes it look like a arcade game, try bringing it down a little bit and use 3rd person

    I think it's kinda the tribal stage, but is not something so new. Is like Heroes 3 or 4 maybe.
