Bob Ross' masterstroke on its way

What we thought for sure was an April Fools' joke is actually the real deal. The legendary painter of happy little trees, the late Bob Ross (or more specifically, Bob Ross Inc.), is working on software for the Revolution, Nintendo DS and PC. These titles would be developed by AGFRAG Entertainment Group.

The games would obviously use Nintendo's unique interfaces to simulate brush strokes and hopefully provide an authentic Bob Ross painting experience. Despite the notable handicap of being deceased, the inspiringly cheerful Ross remains a stable of the airwaves. His television show The Joy of Painting is seen on nearly 300 public television stations throughout the US, and broadcast in multiple other countries.

Above: Ross' unique, fast-paced painting skills could be coming your way.

Joseph Hatcher, AGFRAG's director of development, aims to capture the simple, yet approachable style of Ross' paintings in these upcoming games. None of the titles, Revolution, DS or PC, currently has a publisher.
