Attention Pokemon trainers: Zoroark distribution at Toys R Us Sept 18-25

Exciting times for those of us who own a copy of Pokemon Black and/or White and live in the United States near a Toys R Us - the illusive Pokemon Zoroark can soon be yours. In conjunction with a month-long celebration of this handsome fox Pokemon, Pokemon Company has just announced a special distribution of a level 50 Zoroark that knows the move Snarl. If you still don't have either a Zoroark or its unevolved form, Zorua, this is a rare chance to get one on your own without trading, because neither of these Pokemon are obtainable via normal gameplay. The download event only runs from September 18 through September 25, so serious Pokemon collectors should plan accordingly.

And those of you who can't participate in the limited-time, geographically-limited distribution, fear not! September is officially Zoroark Month, after all, so Pokemon Company is also re-airing the Zoroark: Master of Illusions on September 17 and 18 via, so you can catch that too in case you missed it when it premiered. Plus, you can enter to win a Zoroark-themed sweepstakes (the official Pokemon site has the details) with 25 prizes given away each week in September, leading up to a grand prize giveaway at the end of the month.

The Zoroark that I got from the shiny beasts event, I already breeded the hell out of it, getting about a dozen different Zoruas in the process. I traded all but one through Wi-Fi, kept it as my own and raised it in my party. I really don't need this event. I'll wait for the Movie 14 Victini to come (the one that knows V-create). ... On a side-related note, if Zoroark isn't in Super Smash Bros. 4, I will sincerely be surprised.

Cool! But I'm gonna have to go from Brooklyn to Queens to get it. Bah, I'm such a loser.

At what age does it get weird to go into a toy store to get a pokemon? I remember feeling weird getting my Ancient Mew card in middle school way back when the movie came out. I imagine I'd feel even weirder doing something like this now.

If you feel really self-concious, the Wi-Fi at these events always extends into the parking lot, so you don't even have to get out of your car if you don't want to enter the store. That said, you should own your OG Pokemon trainer status and walk in with pride.
