The PlayStation Plus free games lineup gets Worms, punks, and ballet platforming in November

I'll be straight with you: nothing on the PlayStation Plus free games docket in November is gonna make you forget that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was available last month. But there are still plenty of fun new experiences to try across a ton of genres - everything from old-school artillery warfare, to surreal platforming, to floppy action figure battles. The latest selection of free PS Plus games should go live on November 7, so make sure you claim October's before then.

Worms Battlegrounds (PS4): Decades later, there's still something special about eyeballing angles and distances and wind speed and sloping terrain, all so you can blow up a wriggly little worm on the other side of the map before it blows you up. Let Worms Battlegrounds bring artillery warfare back into your life.

Bound (PS4, PSVR): You'd think constant dancing would make platforming challenges harder, but it seems to work out okay for the balletic main character of Bound. Bound is worth a try for the surreal, colorful environments alone.

Dungeon Punks (PS4, PS Vita): Dungeon Punks takes a base of sidescrolling, arcade brawling and rounds it out with RPG-style loot and fighting-game inspired assist attacks. Try it out on your own or with up to three-player co-op.

R-Type Dimensions (PS3): This revamp of the bullet hell progenitor includes both the original R-Type and R-Type 2, and it gives you the option to play through them in classic (read: brutal) difficulty or a much more forgiving endless mode. You can also swap between original graphics and music or new versions on the fly.

Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic (PS3): Ever make your action figures fight by banging them into each other? This is pretty much a video game version of that, but with (slightly) more elegant kicks and punches. Prepare to battle with up to 4 players locally.

Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse - Episodes 1 & 2 (PS Vita): The classic point-and-click adventure series returns in this two-part journey. Don't worry if you're not an adventure fiend, you can turn on modern inventory and hint systems to help you through if you want them.

Bonus PSVR game (free from November 7 through January 2): Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
Bonus EU PS4 game:
That's You!
