"What happens when you give the ultimate power to a teenager" - the Death Note director explains all

Hot on the heels of the success of Okja (opens in new tab), Netflix is powering ahead with its slate of original movies for 2017 - the most exciting of which looks to be a live-action adaptation of the Death Note manga series. Although fans have 'mixed' feelings about another western remake of a manga story (which has already inspired several Japanese-language live-action films), the first trailer (opens in new tab) had its moments. 

Now director Adam Wingard is here to explain a little more about the movie in an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Netflix Original. Watch the video above to find out why he wanted to make a live-action version of Death Note and what happens when you give power over death to a teenager.
