The Top 7... Rockin' intros

1. Ys Book I & II (TurboGrafx CD, 1990)

The granddaddy of rockin' soundtracks, Ys Book I & II burst onto the scene in 1990 to a world busy playing Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis. Those few who dared to spend the money on a TurboGrafx CD and play the game were treated to a world of beautiful graphics and intense music - typified by this intense piece of work.

Some might call it the ending of Book I, but we prefer to think of it as the intro for Book II. Whichever it is, it's pure, unadulterated rock, rock, rock - dressed up in the best cinematics that were possible in 1990. Too cool for words then, it's just about caught up with reality and we can successfully write about it now. But why bother, when we can just show it off?
