Power Rangers movie casts Trainwreck's Bill Hader as robot sidekick Alpha 5

While the Power Rangers themselves will be played by newcomers in next year's reboot, the movie also has some great supporting talent in Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks. The latest addition to the cast is of that latter ilk, as Bill Hader has signed on to voice the Rangers' lovable robot sidekick Alpha 5.

In addition to lending his vocal cords to characters in films like Inside Out, Finding Dory, and most recently Sausage Party, Hader served as a voice consultant for BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That stands him in pretty good stead to take on the role of a bumbling robot best known for saying "aye-yi-yi-yi-yi!", and Hader will likely be the main source of comic relief in the movie when it arrives in cinemas in March.

Directed by Dean Israelite and starring Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin, Bryan Cranston, Bill Hader, and Elizabeth Banks, the Power Rangers movie will be released in UK and US cinemas on March 24, 2017.
