Yes. All the yes. I was relatively lukewarm on the Power Rangers reboot, but a new trailer released this morning feels like it was tailor made for me and other '90s kids who grew up watching the original TV show. Take a look and hopefully you'll see what I mean:
Zordon! Alpha 5! The Megazord! This trailer is packed with reveals and references. We even get to see what the new Putty Patrol looks like. And while some of these classic elements have clearly been altered - Goldar is now literally made out of gold rather than being a blue Sphinx-like monster who just wears gold - I don't see any of it as particularly blasphemous.
Of course you're free to disagree, but I think when March rolls around, it'll definitely be morphin' time for me.
Directed by Dean Israelite and starring Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin, and Elizabeth Banks, the Power Rangers movie will be released in UK and US cinemas on March 24, 2017.
