Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a five-minute trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins. The video shows Batman taking out a number of goons before facing off against Deathstroke and squaring up to Black Mask. Announced last month and due for release on October 25, Arkham Origins is set before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals. It stars a young and unrefined Batman who faces a defining moment in his early crime fighting career when eight assassins are dispatched to kill him.
The prequel is in the works at Warner Bros. Games Montreal, rather than former series developer Rocksteady Studios. Among other changes, Origins ditches the classic Batman voice actors in favour of some new blood. We’ve seen the game and the results are a bit mixed. If you're looking for more information you should check out our Batman: Arkham Origins preview, in which we discuss the new weapons and locations we recently saw when we went hands-on with the upcoming open-world adventure.
Additionally, Warner confirmed today that Deathstroke will be a fully playable character in the game’s challenge mode. Fans who pre-order the game on Xbox 360, PS3 or PC will receive exclusive early access to the Deathstroke DLC pack.
