Warhammer Age of Sigmar Deathmaster brings the Skaven to Mark of the Ninja in a ruthless new trailer
The stealth stylings of Mark of the Ninja step into a new universe as Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster gets a brand-new trailer as part of the Future Games Show at Gamescom.
The trailer shows off the skills of your main character, an assassin from the rat-like Skaven race. While you start off relying on the shadows, it's not long before you're able to turn weapons like shuriken and a pair of gnarly-looking daggers against your foes. As your skills grow, you'll be able to use a variety of gadgets to bamboozle your enemies - and then gut them while they're not looking.

Release date: TBC 2027
Take on your role as a Skaven Assassin in Deathmaster, a gritty new take on the 2D action platformer.
The 2D styling of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster is immediately reminiscent of stealth staple Mark of the Ninja - clever platforming and manipulating line-of-sight will both be key to surviving unscathed. But the grotty environments that you'd expect from the Skaven are out in full force, and there's even a little nod to another stealth classic in the form of a Dishonored-style horde of rats.
Sadly, it does seem like sneaking around won't get you out of every pinch - as evidenced by the massive, roided-up rat that makes short work of our hero in one particularly gruesome section of the trailer.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster doesn't have a firm release date just yet, but it's set to arrive next year, so hopefully you won't have too long to wait before you can pick it up on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
