Gotham City Impostors beta trailer welcomes new recruits

Think you can hold your own in a six-on-six slaughter-fest featuring delusional Batman and Joker posers armed with all manner of guns, explosives, and traps? Warner Bros. Interactive has put out the official call for PS3 and Xbox 360 Gotham City Impostors beta testers, as well a recruitment video showcasing the many ways in which you'll (maybe) kill and (more likely) be killed.

The closed console beta will reportedly run from December 15 to 20. Signing up is as easy as heading to the Gotham City Impostors page, handing over a few key details and waiting by your email to see if you're selected.

GR's Taylor Cocke recently previewed Monolith Production's off-beat Batman multiplayer, and the game is looking to be every bit as batshit crazy as the animated trailers and other Warner Bros. propaganda has led us to believe. Whether it jives with the more hardcore FPS demo remains to be seen, but at least you can try it now for free. Well, assuming you get an invite.

Gotham City Impostors will be available to download for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on January 10, 2012.
