Fallout 4's first big patch rolls out on PS4 today

If you're playing Fallout 4 on PS4, you should be able to download its first big update today. Fallout 4 Update 1.2 rolled out to all PC players yesterday, laying down a variety of performance and stability improvements and fixing some common glitches, and Bethesda sent out a Tweet letting console gamers know when to expect it:

All Fallout 4 updates will be released as an optional beta for PC players first. After that a final version will roll out for all PC players, and then the final version will drop onto consoles. Bethesda said it plans to push out more frequent, smaller updates for Fallout 4 than it did for Skyrim and Fallout 3, and you can expect a good deal of free new stuff to arrive aside from the paid Season Pass.

Speaking of which, it doesn't look like there's much new stuff waiting in Update 1.2. But it's tough to complain about a more stable game that doesn't trap you in front of computer terminals. Here are Bethesda's patch notes:

- Number pad keys can now be used for remapping (PC)
- Remapping Activate now works on Quick Container (PC)

Fixes
- General memory and stability improvements
- Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant
- Optimizations to skinned decal rendering
- Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals
- Fixed issue where equipped weapons become locked after completing Reunions
- Fixed issue with "When Freedom Calls" where the quest would not complete
- During "Confidence Man" fixed issue where player's health would continuously regenerate
- Fixed crash related to jumping into water and reloading saved games
- Fixed issue where Launcher would not save God Rays Quality setting properly (PC)
