Universal has dropped the full-length trailer for its fairytale actioner, The Huntsman: Winter's War. The follow-up to 2012's Snow White and The Huntsman might not have been high on everyone's list of preferred sequels, but its new roster of ass-kicking femmes might sway those detractors.
Charlize Theron returns as queen Ravenna, who joins forces with her equally sadistic sister queen Freya, played by Emily Blunt. Together they plan to do unspeakable evil, like making men afraid of dastardly chess moves and sucking on ball point pens until their chins turn black. On the good guy front, Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the Huntsman, who will this time become driven by romance when his lover is torn from him.
It's not going to win any Oscars, but this type of popcorn caper fares better when it abandons all seriousness and ramps up the camp. The likes of Theron, Blunt and Jessica Chastain as a badass archer will no doubt draw the crowds. The Huntsman: Winter's War opens in the US and UK on April 22, 2016.
