EA bringing back FIFA Street in 2012
New version to be part of EA Sports' Season Pass

EA is taking another kick at the street soccercan with the return of its FIFA Street franchise. Announced today during Gamescom, thetitle will be developed by EA Sports' Canadian studio and feature a roster of real world soccer stars showing off their mad footballer skillz in 35 international urban locales.
"This is the first time our award-winning FIFA development team is creating a street soccer game, and we are going to deliver a level of authenticity never before seen in this genre, along with amazing gameplay," said Matt Bilbey, Vice President and GM of Soccer for EA Sports in today's announcement, adding, "FIFA Street will appeal to new fans that are looking for a unique, fun soccer experience, and long-time FIFA fans looking for an authentic street soccer experience with the level of quality that they know and love from the FIFA franchise."
According to EA, FIFA Street will be powered by the same engine driving the current FIFA Soccer series, and sport enhanced ball controls, one-touch passing, a new system called Street Ball Control, andthe requisite variety of single and multiplayer modes. The game will also be linked in to EA Sports' Season Ticket program, meaning members will get first dibs on FIFA Street before it releases on PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in 'early 2012'.
