Destiny's PlayStation-exclusive Strikes will get new Taken versions for all

Destiny's PlayStation-exclusive Strike missions will get a Taken makeover before they take the multi-platform leap this fall. The Taken King creative director Luke Smith told Eurogamer that Bungie's working on new versions of Dust Palace and The Undying Mind for both Xbox and PlayStation.

Smith said Bungie is "refreshing [the Strikes] completely with the Taken," an army pulled from across Destiny's four enemy factions and given new Darkness-infused powers by the eponymous Taken King, Oryx. The old versions with their standard Cabal and Vex enemies will also be available across all platforms.

"We want you to experience The Undying Mind completely as it was with the Vex, and also in a Taken-ified version," Smith said. "We wanted to make it feel like more than last year's model."

It doesn't sound like Destiny's other PlayStation exclusive content (the Hawkmoon and Fourth Horseman weapons, and the Exodus Blue and Timekeeper Crucible maps) will receive any tweaks or new additions when they go platform agnostic.

Don't get too excited for the egalitarian future just yet: The Taken King, which releases in September, will have more stuff that will be PlayStation-exclusive until next autumn. Heck, both platforms will even have a whole new Destiny mission for Red Bull drinkers.
