BLOG ConJour 2011 Needs YOU!

Attention northern SF fans! Blogger Alasdair Stuart is here to remind you to get your convention tickets now

If you're a fan of Richard Morgan, Suzanne McLeod, John Meaney, Mark Charan Newton, Kate Griffin, Mike Carey (and who isn't a fan of Mike Carey?), Adrian Tchaikovsky, Freda Warrington or Justina Robson you need to be in Leeds on Saturday 12 March 2011. That's where ConJour 2011 will take place; all those authors will be present as well as lots more top-flight panels, retailers and signings. It's a new event and it's nice to see an event get such a great set of guests straight out of the gate.

Except there's a problem. The tickets, despite being only £25 before 1 December, are selling slowly and there's a real chance of cancellation if more people don't sign up soon.

£25 (the cost of a pizza*) gets you bragging rights about being at the first of a major new convention, gets you access to the panels, to the show, to the atmosphere which is unique to conventions, gets you access to some of the best authors working today.

If there's even a single author on that list, if you're in the area and have never attended a con before, if you just fancy a day out, plan to head to Leeds on 12 March 2011. Head over to the official ConJour site and book it, you won't be disappointed.

This is a personal recommendation by blogger Alasdair Stuart. After Alasdair submitted this, author Andy Remic was confirmed too. For more information about Leeds' ConJour event visit the ConJour Facebook page . The event is supported by Tor books. Don't forget that tickets are now on sale for our own 2011 event too.
