The producers of Once Upon A Time have cast New Zealand-born actress Rose McIver ( The Lovely Bones ) as Tinkerbell, reports TVLine .
The character, from the story of Peter Pan (who is also making his debut in season three) will appear in multiple episodes. Pan has yet to be cast.
Series co-creator Adam Horowitz said at San Diego Comic-Con the the show will be “taking Tinker Bell and putting our spin on it. How we introduce her and who she is will hopefully be surprising. We’re going to find that she has a surprising connection to someone at this table…” The table at the time included Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, Emilie De Ravin, Colin O’Donoghue, Michael Raymond-James, Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison, though Horowitz quickly pointed out that a connection to Hook ruled out the obvious guess, Captain Hook (O’Donoghue) wasn’t exactly what he meant by “surprising”.
