Tesco is kicking off the big gaming season with midnight launch events for FIFA 13 at six of its biggest stores this Thursday 27th/Friday 28th September.
The big six Tesco Extra stores are located at Cheshunt, Longton, Glasgow Silverburn, Handsforth, Dudley and Baldock with a further 500 stores opening across the nation at midnight, so gamers can be first to pick up their copy.
FIFA 13 marks Tesco’s first big gaming campaign of the season and speaking in a recent interview with CVG, head of games Nick Cooke told us, “September with FIFA is always the starting point to the season, and this year will be no exception, especially with the likes of Borderlands 2, PES and F1 coming out as well.”
“The slate of releases all the way through to Hitman and Far Cry in November is very strong this year and we intend to come out with great offers, great midnight openings, and a great in-store display for all the major releases.”
FIFA Fans heading for the Cheshunt store can also look forward to a personal appearance from ace Tottenham Hotspur and England defender Michael Dawson, who’ll be dropping by the branch between 5-7pm on Thursday 27th to kick off the launch event with signings and photographs for all FIFA fans.
