After the success of Superbad, Michael Cera has become quite the man in demand. The latest director to snap up the low-key thesp is Peter Sollett, who has cast him in Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist for Sony.
Down In The Valley's Kat Dennings will co-star in a tale that sees two lovelorn New Jersey teenagers falling in for each other during one sleepless night in New York, searching for their favourite band's secret gig.
Newbie scribe Lorene Scafaria has adapted the book by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, with American Pie boys Chris and Paul Weitz producing alongside Nathan Kahane.
"When Kerry first brought us Lorene's script, I was drawn to the unique combination of humour and emotion in her story that fuels this duo's journey," Kahane blabbed to Variety. Translation: if you liked Superbad, you'll probably find this too sappy and dick-doodle free for your tastes.
