The second trailer for the highly anticipated Star Wars: Rogue One was pretty satisfying; We got a better sense of the rebels' mission, some spectacular glimpses at a few action sequences, and a tantalising shot of Darth Vader. A lot of that is featured in the new international trailer, but there's a few seconds of fresh footage to be found too.

The biggest takeaway from this latest promo is that the Rebels knew about the Death Star because of a message sent by Jyn Erso's father, Galen Erso (who will be played by Mads Mikkelsen).
At Star Wars Celebration Europe Mikkelsen revealed that his character "invented something so beautiful, so fantastic that it might have changed the universe" - which could be hinting at Galen's involvement in creating the Death Star - so that new bit of plot info makes me even more curious to see what the dynamic is like between the two Erso's. Here's hoping Mikkelsen gets a solid amount of screen time with Felicity Jones come December.
Directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to open in UK and US cinemas on December 16, 2016.
