The Amazing Spider-Man will feature a playable Stan Lee
Superhero veteran to make video game cameo in Peter Parker's next
Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee has made cameos in the webcrawler's movies, cartoons, and graphic novels for years, so this week's news that the comic book veteran will make his first video game appearance as a playable character in The Amazing Spider-Man isn't so much of a surprise as it is long overdue.
Stan Lee revealed his top secret role during an interview with Addict of Fiction at the London Super Comic Convention. Although, it doesn't look like it took too much digging:
Technically, Stan Lee has appeared in video games before – most notably as the narrator for past Spider-Man games, and as Senator Stanley in “Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2”. By the sounds of it, The Amazing Spider-Man will mark the former Marvel president's first full-on appearance, image and all. Lee didn't say how he would factor into Beenox's movie tie-in, but the smart money is on him being included as an unlockable costume.
The Amazing Spider-Man releases June 26 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and 3DS. Watch the latest “Rhino reveal” trailer here.
