Robert Rodriguez claims that financing has already been agreed to film Sin City 2 .
The director wowed comic-book fans by announcing at Comic-Con that Frank Miller has written a script that "could shoot as early as later this year."
Talking to We Got This Covered in San Diego, Rodriguez added that the money is also now in place.
" Sin City 2 is going good, we're just finishing the script for that, we already got the money. We have everything we need so we can just start shooting as soon as we get the pages,” We Got This Covered reported.
The sequel is expected to be based on Miller's comic book A Dame To Kill For , which features the characters of Marv and Nancy and could see Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba return.
