Rose McGowan's former training as a ballerina helped her sorceress character in the new Conan The Barbarian movie perform her own deadly dance.
McGowan admits she did get to play with swords, but says her character prefers to fight with a claw-style weapon.
“I used to be a ballerina and in a lot of these movies where I play strong characters my wrists want to kind of do stuff like that,” she told Superhero Hype, waving her hand back and forth like a dancer. “I normally have to train that out of myself but this was the first movie where I was really able to use it.”
Yesterday TF heard Nic Cage describe how his acting technique as flame-bonced superhero Ghost Rider was based on a cobra - and it seems snake-style is the latest Hollywood craze.
“She has these claws basically to seduce her prey, to transfix them and then strike. Like a snake,” McGowan added.
Conan The Barbarian is released in UK cinemas on 26 August.
