Remastered Terminator returning to cinemas this June

A remastered version of James Cameron’s 1984 action classic The Terminator is getting a theatrical release next month.

UK-based classic film distributors Park Circus announced on their blog that the remastered movie will show in over 20 territories at over 800 cinemas just ahead of Terminator Genisys’s theatrical debut this July.

In Britain, cinemas across the country will be holding screenings of the film on 23 June, but before then the film hits the Croisette with a screening on the beach at the Cannes Film Festival in just a few days’ time.

The iconic first incarnation of Arnie’s killer android will also appear in Terminator Genisys thanks to the film’s timey-wimey shenanigans and a spot of CGI. You can read all about the film (including an interview with the Austrian Oak himself) in the latest issue of Total Film.

Terminator Genisys opens in US cinemas on 1 July 2015, and in the UK on the following day.
