It was only yesterday that we discovered that Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage has joined the cast for X-Men: Days Of Future Past , and today, it emerges that he’ll be playing the villain of the piece.
According to Variety , Dinklage will play the film’s “main antagonist”, quashing rumours that he would be playing Alpha Flight member, Puck.
No further details have been confirmed as yet, but with the robotic Sentinels seeming likely to appear, could it be that Dinklage is playing their inventor, Boliver Trask?
What we do know is that the film will take place across two timelines, as the X-Men seek to avert a nightmarish future in which mutants are rounded up and shunted into a series of concentration camps.
Directed by Bryan Singer and co-starring Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men: Days Of Future Past opens in the UK on 18 July 2014.
