People Can Fly working on Fortnite, renamed Epic Games Poland
Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly has been renamed Epic Games Poland and put to work on next-gen build-and-battle survival game Fortnite. Epic Games confirmed the switch-up in a statement to Pixel Enemy.
“We’ve changed the studio’s name from People Can Fly to Epic Games Poland," the statement said. "We’re a global company with talented people working toward one goal across the world. We think this helps better reflect that.”
Epic says multiple studios aside from Poland are working on Fortnite. Though the free-to-play game was revealed in 2011, it still does not have a publicly announced release window
People Can Fly was purchased by Epic in August 2012, though Epic held a majority stake in its operations since 2007. Epic has eight studios around the world according to its website, but only Infinity Blade developer Chair Interactive and Shanghai-based Yingpei Games now retain names aside from regional designation.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
