After the guns, girls and gadgets of Mission: Impossible 3, it must be a relief for Simon Pegg to be back in Blighty thrashing out a good, honest British black comedy. The movie follows the story of a down on his luck unemployed teacher (played by Friends star David Schwimmer) who hooks up with a slightly unbalanced con-artist (Pegg) to pull off a doomed blackmailing scam.
Joining the pair are Natascha McElhone (The Truman Show), Mimi Rogers (Austin Powers) and Mary Chaykin (Where The Truth Lies).
Rumour has it that a host of Hollywood stars were salivating over the role of Josie, a former teenage beauty queen but the part eventually went to newcomer Alice Eve.
Big Nothing began its six week filming schedule on the 4 December and having just travelled to Berlin, Rome and Shanghai with Tom Cruise, the Shaun Of The Dead star is now set to get a stamp from the Isle Of Man in his passport as well.
