The more we see of Gotham City Imposters, the more we wonder how Monolith Productions managed to talk Warner Brothers into letting the developer twist one of its most iconic superhero franchises into what is essentially The Warriors: Batman Edition. Not that we're complaining; the concept has us hooked. And thanks to this animated short featuring wannabe Batmen and Jokers, we now have a better understanding of just how down and dirty these imposters play.

Itching to suit up and get in on the action? Gotham City Imposters will be available for download on XBLA, PSN, and PC on January 10, and Monolith is vetting players for an upcoming open beta right now on its website.
