Dark Shadows has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette, this time focusing on the various dysfunctional members of the Collins family.
As Johnny Depp helpfully points out, "no one really likes each other", and it's clear that much of Dark Shadows ' action will focus upon the struggles of a family to get along with each other, as much as it will the supernatural side of things.
Indeed, Tim Burton agrees that it was this domestic disharmony that really attracted him to the project in the first place. "The workings and the melodramas of a family," explains Burton, "that was the thing that interested me."

it certainly sounds as though the cast had a good time making this one, and whilst we've seen Depp and Burton plough this kooky furrow before, the quality of the talent on display has got us interested nonetheless.
Plus, that final gag in the featurette had us genuinely laughing out loud. Let's just hope they haven't blown all their best laughs in the promotional material. Dark Shadows opens in the UK on 11 May 2012.
