LittleBigPlanet 2 gets PS Vita cross-controller next week
First PS3 game to use PS Vita as controller
PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita will come together in a Wii U-nique experience for the first time next week in Little Big Planet 2. Sony announced today on the PlayStation Blog that cross-controller support for the do-it-yourself platformer will be available for a $5 download starting on Tuesday.
LittleBigPlanet 2's cross-controller support uses the handheld as a typical controller while its front and rear touch panels let players manipulate and observe the environment in new ways. Sony Computer Entertainment America VP of marketing, handhelds and home consoles John Koller said the PS Vita and PS3 paired up matches the Wii U's GamePad "quite easily."
The new content includes several levels of adventure across the craft cosmos with a gang of space pirates, as well as new level-creation tools which let players to make cross-controller stages of their own.
Sony has not revealed any other games which will pair up PS3 and PS Vita in this manner.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
