In issue 224 of Total Film we sat down with Jesse Eisenberg to talk his varied career.
Inside the issue - which is available for just £2.99 on your iPad – TF couldn't help but ask about his character in Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice , the iconic villain, Lex Luthor.
And it sounds like Eisenberg is having some input into this incarnation.
"There are some indications of how the character should behave based on the script, and then an actor makes it his or her own."
"I got to know one of the writers Chris Terrio, and we were able to discuss things at length and figure out who this person is to create a real psychology behind what is, perhaps, in a comic book, a less than totally modern psychology. I can only say I've been asked to play an interesting role. A complicated, challenging person."
For more on Jesse pick up the brand new issue of Total Film, which is out Friday 29 August, and includes an exclusive look at Gone Girl , Kingsman: The Secret Service , Life After Beth and much more.
