I wasn't even planning to buy a Switch 2, but this early Black Friday bundle has me excited

While everyone's clamoring to get the best Nintendo Switch 2 deal before Black Friday has even begun, spare a thought for the best way to actually save money on new consoles: bundles. A new Switch 2 bundle gets you two of the console's biggest games for a nice low overall price.

This deal nets you a Switch 2, Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananaza, all for £439, and it's only available at Very. That's a discount of £45 from the previous listing price, but an even bigger saving when you consider the standard cost of a Switch 2 and two games would individually set you back much more. So I'm calling this one of the best early Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals we've seen on the console.

Save £45 - This deal gets you the Nintendo Switch and Mario Kart World bundle, plus Donkey Kong Bonanza on top, for £440. This is the only time I've seen a discount on this particular bundle (although Very and Nintendo Direct are the only retailers selling the combo at all), but still a tempting discount in the grand scheme of Switch sales.

These are two highly-rated games you're getting with the console. We called Mario Kart World the "best first-party launch game" and in our Donkey Kong Bananza review we called it "best reason yet to own a Switch 2". So they're two of the best titles to own for your new console.

The retailer has a different deal I'd also like to bring to your attention. It's the same as the above one, but also includes the Switch 2 Pro controller, all for £535 at Very.

Should you buy the Nintendo Switch bundle?

There are bound to be countless of Black Friday Switch deals over the next few weeks, discounting different configurations of console (original, OLED, Lite and 2) with various bundles of games. I'm sure I'm going to be writing about Mario Kart and Donkey Kong, in different combinations with other titles, quite a bit.

That's all to say that you'll have to make some big decisions if you're on the market for a Switch 2. Because games can be quite expensive, what should guide you in your decision should be the games you want for your console. Mario Kart World and Doney Kong Bananza are two titles I see in bundles quite a bit, as are Pokemon Legends Z-A and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom. Mostly the console will be bundled with one of those games, sometimes two.

It's worth creating a wishlist of the games you really want to play, and buying deals on the console if they're included. Very has some other combinations (find them below) but various retailers have their own cocktails of games and console.

To answer the question at the top of this section, then: if Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World are on your list, then this is definitely worth buying. The bundle much cheaper than buying the console and games individually, and will be even if the components see their own Black Friday sales.

But if you're not interested in either (or both) games, then there will very likely be another bundle for you that gets you the game you want.
