It feels like it hasn't been long since Yoshi last heralded his own big adventure in Yoshi's Crafted World on the original Nintendo Switch. Yet, everyone's favorite little green, egg-laying dino is ready for another adorable adventure in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, which releases on May 21, 2026.
The game isn't ready to hatch quite yet, but pre-orders are available for $69.99 (Amazon) / £49.99 (Amazon) on the Nintendo Switch 2. The best news? There's no sign of game-key cards here, and this upcoming adorable adventure has already got a discounted price in the UK. While the online Nintendo Store lists the physical version for its full £58.99 price, retailers from Amazon to Very have it for £49.99 instead, which UK physical game fans are sure to appreciate.
Things are looking just as egg-cellent in the US too. This game marks the first to drop after Nintendo announced pricing changes, making the digital version $10 cheaper than normal. This is only great for those okay with not having a physical red box of the game to have and to hold. However, with Nintendo game prices being what they are, it's nice to see future Switch 2 games become more accessible.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book US Pre-orders
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at Amazon
Amazon dropped its pre-orders pretty quickly, so you'll have no issue grabbing your copy of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book from the massive retailer. If you're a Prime member, you can also take advantage of savings on shipping, but it might not arrive shortly after May 21.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at Best Buy
Best Buy was one of the first US retailers to drop its Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-orders, and you can grab the physical version of the game for its full $69.99 price. While there's no pre-launch savings to be found, Best Buy does state you can receive the game on, or shortly after, release.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at GameStop
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is also available to pre-order at GameStop right now for its full $69.99 MSRP. Just beware that it could take 2-3 days for your copy to arrive so you might not get to play it on day one.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | $69.99 at Nintendo
You can grab your Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-order straight from the source for its full $69.99 price at the official Nintendo online store. If you want to save a little cash, you can get $10 off sticking to the digital version, but that won't grant you that pretty official Nintendo packaging and speedy delivery.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book UK pre-orders
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £49.99 at Amazon
Amazon is usually a little late with dropping its Switch 2 game pre-orders, but it was fast to list Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for just £49.99. There's no pre-order gift here, but if you're a Prime member, you can take advantage of Amazon's speedy shipping and pre-order price guarantee - not too shabby.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £49.99 at Very
Very was also quick to launch its Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-orders, popping up the game for just £49.99. Again, no pre-order gifts in sight, but this price is still £8 cheaper than its £58.99 MSRP, and the game isn't even out yet.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £52.95 at TheGameCollection
The Game Collection is usually the UK retailer that knocks out the cheapest pre-order prices, but it had Yoshi and the Mysterious Book available for £52.95 ahead of release. That's still knocking off a few pounds from its full MSRP, but it's not the lowest price around right now.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | £58.99 at Nintendo
The official Nintendo online store was the first to list its Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-orders, but it's available for its full £58.99 MSRP. If you prefer to get your Ninty games straight from the source, you'll at least get your copy shipped in a cool Super Mario-themed box.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book | Check stock at Argos
Argos is pretty dependable when it comes to listing the latest Nintendo Switch games, but it has yet to drop its Yoshi and the Mysterious Book pre-order. If and when that changes, I'll be sure to update this page.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
