Where to find Fibrous Pulp to make fiber in Subnautica 2
You'll need a source of Fibrous Pulp if you want to make fiber in Subnautica 2, so here's where to look
Fibrous Pulp is an important Subnautica 2 resource, required to make fiber which in itself is used in countless blueprints, from fins to a comfy bed. However, you won't find raw Fibrous Pulp in the land around you, but will instead have to harvest it from various underwater flora using a Survival Multitool.
Of course, finding most basic materials in Subnautica 2 simply requires exploration and scanning the world around you, but if you're in a hurry to craft something important, that's not always helpful. With my help, you can get your hands on Fibrous Pulp quickly, leaving you more time for longer and more arduous adventures.
How to get Fibrous Pulp in Subnautica 2
To get Fibrous Pulp in Subnautica 2, you'll first need to craft a Survival Multitool, a blueprint which is automatically unlocked from day one. Then you must use the multitool to harvest Fibrous Pulp from any of the following plants:
- Cradle Shootroot
- Macaron Sponge
- Whip Gorgon
- Feather Kelp
Since Subnautica 2 is in early access, this list could grow, and I'll add to it as and when I find any more sources of Fibrous Pulp.
In the meantime, these few plants can all be found fairly close to your lifepod, so you should find plenty of Fibrous Pulp fast. If you're seeking fiber to make fins, you may also find yourself looking for Subnautica 2 Lucifer Rotsacs, as they're needed to make rubber. Later on, fiber mesh is required for that all important Rebreather, so you're also going to need some Subnautica 2 strong acid, which I'll have a guide on shortly.

After studying Music and Lifestyle journalism and writing a column for a stylish lifestyle magazine in her hometown of Brighton, Danielle finally found her feet writing about videogames for WePC in 2021. She then honed her guides writing skills at PCGamesN between 2022 and 2026, when she took those skills to GamesRadar as a Guides Writer. Danielle's guides are a safe space - she definitely got stuck before you did, which is why she's perfect for the job. When she's not replaying the Silent Hill games or a more up-to-date single-player horror game, you'll find her fighting for her life in Dead by Daylight, tending to a garden in Stardew Valley, or doing both in Minecraft.
